Stanley is home to a full machine shop. Some of the mechanical and machine services available are:

  • Pump and blower rebuilds and repairs

  • Manufacture splined shafts and gears

  • Rotor re-barring

  • Computerized dynamic balancing

  • Bearing journals and housing fit repairs by sleeving, welding and metal spraying

  • Surface grinding

  • Shaft grinding

  • Babbit and bronze bearings manufacture and repairs

  • T.I.G., M.I.G. and stick welding

  • Plasma and flame cutting

 

All measurements taken are recorded and fully documented in our Inspection Reports. The equipment in Stanley Electric’s shop includes:

  • SCHENCK hard bearing balancing stand

  • Lathes up to 48” swing and 20’ bed

  • CNC milling machines

  • Horizontal boring mills

  • CNC horizontal lathe

  • Key-seater

  • Commutator under cutters bench top and floor units

  • Drill presses from bench, top to radial arm

  • 250 ton horizontal press

  • 55 ton vertical press

  • Bearing pullers up to 50 tons

  • Micrometer to 10’

  • Inside micrometers up to 3’
